Welcome!
to Labelle deesse dereale.
This
site is dedicated to all of the people who
loves the spirits, also to the ones who's
not aware of them or searching to know more
about them, and our Haitian culture...this
is who we are, this is our way of life...
At
la belle deesse dereale the spirits
are priority we give our all to our spirits,
each and every day of our lives. And they
give their best to us every day. This site
is dedicated to all of the spirits. How
did it all started! It started with my great
grand father, he was the chosen one, from
his father side and his mother side,.
He
was from cap Haiti, he's from lacour
dereale one of the most popular lacour
in au cap. he moved from there to benait,
where he had my grand father .once my great
grand father passed ,it was passed on to
my grand father.
He
was a priest, he started very young he would
work for every one in the neighborhood for
free. At that time vodou wasn't what it
is today, back than they didn't know the
value of what they have, they didn't know
how special and different they we're.
They
used to hide it, and sometimes when the
spirits would come on him, people who's
not used to him would say he's crazy, because
he would have a different attitude and different
voice… And he would tell each and every
one of them something about them, that's
going to happen or has happenned and they
would be amazed, and from that moment they
realized that he's not crazy instead he
was gifted. He became they're counselor,/guardian/
fortune teller/and every thing else that
comes with it, and he continued to help
and make sure he was there for every one
who needed him.
He
moved from benait to côte de fer,
and there he had my mom in April 14-1954.his
first child, he spent a lot of time with
her…every where and every time he would
go to heal someone, he would take his daughter
with him...in the same day of my mother's
birth he had a horse, and the horse also
gave birth to a white mule, that mule was
not an ordinary mule he was special... He's
name was kanmabay (meaning when I give)
whenever something bad was about to happen,
he would always give a signal and whenever
the spirits come on my grand father, he
would get on the mule and kanmabay would
know exactly where to go... no one was ever
able to ride kanmabay, only him and my mother...
My mom was sent of to school in font des
blanc, where she would stay with her aunt.
On December 25th 1961 my grand father
died in cote de fer…he was just 35 years
old... meanwhile, my mom was in a field
in font des blanc, she was seating on a
rock when she felt her head spinning around
,that was the beginning of a long journey
ahead of her... The spirit mounted her and
walked from font des blanc to cote de fer,
which is 44 kilometers on her feet, she
was just 7 years old...
The
first spirit that mounted my mom was marinette...
When she regained consciousness she found
her self home surrounded by a lot of people.
That's when they informed her of her fathers
death. But 2 days had already passed the
funeral was done, and the choice of the
next chosen one was already taken... and
since than she's been predicting/healing/guiding/helping/counseling/and
all of the responsibility that comes with
being a chosen one... They started by coming
to her in her sleep, they would teach her
things from her sleep, they even tried to
take her to the sea ,it was a big problem
for my grandma, but they did what was supposed
to be done, and it was taking care of.
The
spirits would come on her whenever they
want, she had no control over them, they
would come on her while she's in school
and just leave like she was a crazy child,
the kids used to make fun of her because
she was different, she didn't have a regular
childhood ,hers was out of the ordinary,
yet special, because she's gifted…and different...
My mom known as( la belle deesse dereale
) or soulage min fort bon manbo : have been
working for people ever since she was 7
years old she was 18 when she moved to port-au
prince, thru out the years searching for
someone to train her, most of all to officialized
her… she finally found someone by that time
she was 33 years old, she found the person
who was going to be her mother... Her name
was mme victor, she
was located in wané 93 in carrefour.
The lacour was( lacour Pont sonde numero1)
she was one of the biggest manbo in carrefour
in that time ,she's also known as (adieu
min fort bon manbo) the daughter of, agasse
gacon bon ougan. She was well known and
well respected, most of her clients were
in politics. She was true to her name.
My
mom became a manbo assogue on July 18- 1984
that day was a big day for her and her surroundings.
I remember that day very clearly I was 8
years old at that time, I remember not being
able to see my mom for 6 days and no explanation
was given to us at that time. On the 7th
day someone from pond sonde came to pick
me up (la belle deesse junior) to take me
to my mom, of course I was taken to her
but I wasn't able to see her ,she had to
peep in a hole to see my face ,the only
thing I was able to do was hear her voice.
There was a lot of activity a lot of people,
but that was the day she was coming out
of the djevo , she had became a manbo assogue
daguimin and she was being presented to
the society and the community. And she wanted
me to witness that big special day of her
life. And I did. Unfortunately she was the
last person her mother gave the asson to,
a year after her mother passed away . soulage
never had the chance to treasure her mom
the way she wanted to. But she continues
by respecting her, and follow all the rules
the way she's supposed to. We continue to
praise her and pay homage to her. I consider
my self to be extra lucky to have la belle
deesse as my mother I don't have an ordinary
life either,but it's a gift,and I appreciated
,we work together, I've been working with
my mom ever since I was 14 years old,and
every day I learn and see something different
about my mom she's a book fulled of treasures
and history with the hundreds of spirits
she has on her and the thousands of people
she has helped thru out her life.we still
have a lot of work to do,we have just begun.
Ayibobo , to adieu min fort bon manbo,ou
nan lieu de verite moin mim moin nan menti!
